摘要: Sweet persimmon has been developing rapidly in many subtropical areas in Yunnan province since the 1980s. Currently, there are more than 10,000 ha of sweet persimmon producing about 5 million kg of fruits annually. However, due to varietal and specialclimatic reasons which drought in spring and winter, most of rain falls during June to September, physiological fruit drop rate generally ranges from 20 to 30% and sometimes get as high as 70%. This has seriously hampered the development of persimmon industry. Combination of long-term field survey and some useful experiences from other fruits, the factors which affect physiological fruit drop were indicated. The mitigation measures, such as improving the orchard environment, ridging and covering plastic film, controlling the usage of nitrogen fertilizer, were listed.
